This blog is dedicated to discussion of the use of the icesat vegetation product (referred to herein as the "ivp"), produced by Colorado State University's Center for Ecological Applications of Lidar, directed by Michael Lefsky.
In the interest of advancing the use of this data as quickly as possible, I have decided to use this blog to openly discuss problems, suggestions, FAQs and advances in using the icesat vegetation product. I urge everyone to be as open with their research as you feel comfortable with.
The main topics of discussion will be posted in the next few weeks, as the first iteration of the data and associated utilities are released.
